This kitchen was part of a Great Room Renovation in a 5,000 sq. ft. log home. The kitchen was relocated to the east side of the space to accomodate a new sitting area with wet bar, sliding doors, and a second story deck facing the meadow. All of the utilities were rerouted through toe chases, columns, and soffits. The floors, cabinetry, and mouldings are CVG Fir, the counters and backsplash are 2cm Granite with a 4cm broken edge. The Appliances are Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, & Bosch. The plumbing fixtures are Franke. The Lighting is Tech. We incorporated commercial HVAC diffusers to accent the clean stainless look. The curved penninsula was matched with a curved floating soffit, which is suspended from the logs above. At the time of this Renovation, the Granite peninsula was the largest single piece to be installed in the region.
